Beautiful, Timeless Portraits
There is so much to plan and prepare for when it comes to bringing a new little bundle of joy into the world. It can be a little overwhelming, especially for first time moms. The most common thing I hear from moms who are having their second, third or even last child is how they regret not having maternity photos from their previous pregnancies. To make this entire experience as easy as possible, Moments by Marianne offers a variety of maternity session experiences. I can arrange professional hair and make-up so you can look and feel your best. An exclusive client closet with over 130 different maternity gowns are available to fit most everyone from size small through many plus sizes up to 3XL. The Majority of my gowns and robes are from high end designers who create gowns specifically for maternity sessions and many of these gowns can be seen on my website. In addition to gowns, I also carry bodysuits, silk fabrics, jewelry, hats and more. My private studio is located in West Knoxville. I look forward to helping you create your dream maternity session.

BOOKING YOUR SESSION IS EASY
Choose a Session that works for you
To book your session all you have to do is reach out to me by phone, text, email or DM my business page on facebook. We will discus available dates, your vision for the session, what you will need to bring for your session and find the session that best suits your needs. I offer both studio and outdoor options. Many clients opt for the Fine Art Studio Sessions as it is the most inclusive. I typically suggest to plan your session when you are between 28-34 weeks, but every pregnancy is unique and we can adjust according to your needs.
Reserve your Date
Once we have chosen the package that best suits your needs, you will need to pay a retainer (for standard sessions) or pay a creative fee (for fine art sessions) to confirm your date on the calendar. The retainer or creative fee can run anywhere from $75-$200 depending on the session you are booking. Please pay within 24 hours of selecting your date to guarantee your appointment. I cannot hold dates without payment. You will need a credit card or paypal account to book your session. No appointments will be held without paying the retainer or session fee.
Make a Payment
When your session date approaches, you will get an email reminder of your upcoming appointment and an invoice to pay the remainder of your package (for standard sessions). For our Luxury sessions, images are purchased separately and payment will be required at your ordering appointment after your session. We accept cash and credit cards for all sessions and products.
Odds & Ends
For outdoor sessions, I provide a pop-up changing tent so you can easily and privately change on location. Keep in mind many outdoor locations do not have public restrooms.
Be prepared for your session. I suggest planning your session for a day when you are off from work. When you are in late term pregnancy, you will tire easily and quickly. Try to rest as much as possible before your session, drink lots of water, bring along a snack and wear sensible shoes. Flats or low heeled sandals are best. Try to have something you can easily slip off for bare foot shots. You can bring heels for a studio session to be worn as needed, but I do not suggest wearing high heels outdoors.
For under garments, It is suggested to wear skin toned or nude seamless underwear with all gowns. Some gowns are see through, so keep that in mind for outdoor sessions in public locations. A strapless bra is best, but you are welcome to bring a black bra and panty set, a white bra and panty set and thong underwear in nude, black and white to work with different gowns, bodysuits and fabrics. You also may go without underwear in studio for certain looks. If you are booking a luxury session, you can come in a few weeks prior to your session to try things on so you can plan what works best for each look you want to do.
Dressing the rest of your family can be tricky. Since many of my gown options are available online, you can choose one or two options that you can match more easily with the rest of the family. I typically suggest solid color dress shirts or polos for men and boys. Avoid small intricate repeating patterns like tiny checkerboard. You can also never go wrong with white, black or gray color shirts for men. For girls, I do have some gowns that can be rented, but cannot guarantee something that will match your choices. I also have a few gowns that do have matching options for girls so please reach out to inquire about those. if you are looking to purchase a gown for your daughter to wear please look at joyfolie.com or Trish Scully Child. They have a great variety of options and reasonable prices.
